Recording Blog?! (Music Video)

 

 This is when id explain the process of recording the new music video. Yon Yonson's music video was to be a huge hit on release. This was the plan but alas recording has not been finished yet. Instead of discussing the recording session that has not happened yet I'll elaborate on why it hasn't happened yet. This week was thanksgiving vacation so to be honest film wasn't exactly on the mind. I instead took this time to hang out with my family and enjoy the short period of relaxation. The first thing I did was visit my aunt and grandmother with my mom. They were both doing well and it was nice to see them after a few weeks. I invested a lot of time there playing games with them and also eating some really nice home cooking. After that I went with my dad and prepared for thanksgiving. My grandpa makes the thanksgiving turkey so we didn't have to focus on that, instead we got side dishes as well as pie for desert. On the day of thanksgiving we all went to my Grampa's house and dug into some great food! We also watched a few movies during the festivities which both were fairly entertaining. After all the excitement I still had quite a few days of vacation to kill. One thing I worked on was my animating, I'm learning how to do pixel art as well as animation. I got a new game called Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity which was an absolute blast to play. The game is basically a battling simulator with a bunch of memorable Legend of Zelda characters, very fun. After all that I tried my best to rest and prepare for the coming weeks of school. I got plenty of rest and now I'll be ready to record the Yon Yonson music video sometime this week. Everything is planned out and ready to be executed now, recording the video should be a breeze. Although I wish my break was longer, I'm thankful that it was there to prepare me for recording this new video.

   Here it is, the Yon Yonson music video. After quite a bit of recording and editing the video is finally here to watch. The video is basically a 20 second song looping with slight differences each time. The first time I play the ukulele in the first scene and lip sync the words of the song. After that I use a clip of a passerby asking for Yon Yonson's name.  The kind stranger who asks for Yon Yonson's name is none other than Barack Obama! Due to the lack of actors available for recording I could not do the street passerby scene. As a replacement for this I used video clips from other media and tried to lip sync them with the song lyrics. Unfortunately the lip syncing wasn't perfect due to time constraints, but It worked well enough. In the next scene I play the accordion in the same basic position as the first scene. If you couldn't tell from me playing the ukulele, you could definitely tell that I don't have musical talent from how I played the accordion. Althoug

Genre Research: Action

  This video is my PowerPoint presentation about action movies. The video above lists lots of things that are used in action films. I've always really liked watching action movies so this was my first choice of genre to write about. Most of my favorite movies are action movies so I like to think that I know a good deal about them. The first slide of this PowerPoint is about how lighting is used in action movies. Lighting is used to create atmosphere, for instance dark lighting is used to create gloomy more serious mood. Bright lighting on the other hand is used for more peaceful scenes. Bright lighting isn't commonly used in action movies since it doesn't fit with the violence taking place. The camera angles of action movies are usually dramatic in order to fit the action that's taking place in the movie. Mid shots are used quite often in order to show all the characters at once. Hey what's up!? My name is Spencer Dalis, I am in Aice Media studies AS level at Fort Lauderdale High School. I'm definitely not the most interesting person on the planet, but ill try my best to explain my hobbies and interests here. I was born in Miami Dade and moved to Broward shortly after.
