Final Task: The Golden Calf




The golden calf... is here. After many weeks of work it is finally finished and available for the world to see. This movie is about researchers stumbling upon the fabled Golden Calf, which is a reference to a bible story. This is only the opening credits but I hope that you enjoy the buildup to the discovery of the calf.

Music Video

   Here it is, the Yon Yonson music video. After quite a bit of recording and editing the video is finally here to watch. The video is basically a 20 second song looping with slight differences each time. The first time I play the ukulele in the first scene and lip sync the words of the song. After that I use a clip of a passerby asking for Yon Yonson's name.  The kind stranger who asks for Yon Yonson's name is none other than Barack Obama! Due to the lack of actors available for recording I could not do the street passerby scene. As a replacement for this I used video clips from other media and tried to lip sync them with the song lyrics. Unfortunately the lip syncing wasn't perfect due to time constraints, but It worked well enough. In the next scene I play the accordion in the same basic position as the first scene. Genre Research: Action

  This video is my PowerPoint presentation about action movies. The video above lists lots of things that are used in action films. I've always really liked watching action movies so this was my first choice of genre to write about. Most of my favorite movies are action movies so I like to think that I know a good deal about them. The first slide of this PowerPoint is about how lighting is used in action movies. Lighting is used to create atmosphere, for instance dark lighting is used to create gloomy more serious mood. Bright lighting on the other hand is used for more peaceful scenes. Bright lighting isn't commonly used in action movies since it doesn't fit with the violence taking place. The camera angles of action movies are usually dramatic in order to fit the action that's taking place in the movie. Mid shots are used quite often in order to show all the characters at once. Production Blog: Nothing Edition

   Well... I've had a busy few days. Before I begin to regale you all with my tales of things that have nothing to do with filmmaking here is a disclosure. I did not work on my film since last blog so skipping this blog may be in your best interest. Anyways with that out of the way let us commence forth. For the past few weeks a science project due date has been looming over my head progressively getting closer and closer. I've been buckling down and putting all of my work into this project. If I put all my efforts into this film I'd probably be failing a lot of classes right now so its best that I divide up schoolwork. I also have the FSA writing exam to prepare for. This exam is next week so I'm trying to get well rested beforehand. Unfortunately due to a unnecessarily large amount of homework I'll never be able to get any real rest.
